Microsoft CodePlex, open-source
Microsoft has launched a community site for "code-repository, called CodePlex, in particular intended for programmers shared-and open-source, home projects available via Microsoft Shared Source, GPL licensing and other mechanisms.
The initiative represents a further step in the software giant to open-source environments, a path already taken by Microsoft with recent efforts to promote software interoperability and lure developers to the Windows platform.
